The virus was found to be ten times more potent than the corona



Malaysia has detected a strain of the new coronavirus that has been found to be 10 times more infectious.
  • The mutation, earlier seen in other parts of the world and called D614G, was found in at least three of the 45 cases in a cluster that started from a restaurant owner returning from India and breaching his 14-day home quarantine.The virus has been found in returnees from the Philippines.

However, the World Health Organization says there is no evidence that the 
virus can lead to serious illness. But Hisham Abdullah, Malaysia's director general of health, 
says it is doubtful the vaccine will be able to fight the virus.
"People need to be wary and take greater precautions because this strain has now been found in Malaysia," Noor Hisham wrote on a Facebook post on Sunday. "The people's cooperation is very needed so that we can break together the chain of infection from any mutation."

 
 
 
 
Malaysia is one of the few countries to oppose Kovid. So far, only 9,212 people in the country have confirmed Kovid. At least 125 people have died of measles in Malaysia.
